A squeak every 3-4 crank revolutions
Since my last couple of rides, I'm hearing a quiet squeak every 3-4 pedal strokes. Sounds like it is coming from the general area of the chainset, but cannot be certain. I fitted a new chain and cassette a couple of hundred miles ago, and everything feels as though it is running silky smooth at the moment - apart from this annoying squeak. Any ideas?
In case it is relevant, this is on a Giant SCR2 with Tiagra drive train (triple).

Had something similar that turned out to be my overshoes brushing the crankarm every few revolutions ... drove me mad until I figured it out.0

Sheldon Browns website it usually quite good for giving suggestions relating to this kind of thing. This may be of some use to you. http://sheldonbrown.com/creaks.html#chain0

Perhaps a stiff link on the chain? It sounds chain related, if it is every 3 or 4 crank revolutions.Trek Project One Series 6 Madone 2010
