Changing satnav maps

I dunno what this would be called really but sat navs and online mapping software always direct people to the rear of our block of houses. This isn't actually the street our house is on and because there is no street sign and our house is up a little alley from the road people have trouble finding us.

Does anyone know whether you can get the maps used by sat navs etc changed so people will be directed to the front of the house, the street the house is actually addressed on.

    You can report map errors to Navteq (who supply Garmin) and TomTom. You can edit OSM maps yourself. Google has recently launched it's map editor in the UK as well and you can also submit error reports to them.

    Thanks. I thought there would be somewhere you could contact but had no idea where to look.
