Crankset Advice for Boardman

I am after a bit of advice on upgrading my crankset and going 1x10 on my Boardman Team HT 2012.
Currently I am running 2x10 with an FSA Comet Chainset and an SRAM X7 10 Speed Derailleur. The crankset has seen better days, so I have decided to replace it.
I have had to get a new Bottom Bracket recently as the one that came with the bike started grating after a few rides in the rain. I now have a Shimano BB, I don't know if that makes a difference?
However I am a bit confused as to what I should be buying with regards to a crankset.
Would http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=74791 be ok? Obviously I would remove the inner ring and buy http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=263 to keep the chain in place.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am usually pretty good with this stuff, but in all the looking around online I appear to have confused myself

what type of bottom bracket do you have?0

BB30 I think0

post up pictures.
shimano do nor do BB30.
the if your BB is BB30 then it is only a pair of bearings.
if you want to get out of the BB30 then reducers and adaptors are needed.
so pics of what you have."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

This is my existing Crankset

This is the BB that was removed.
And here is a picture of it off the bike.
The writing on the top reads FSA MegaExo Φ24mm
Finally, this is the new one (fitted)
Thanks again0 -
Ok that is not your cranks.
it is not BB30
the BB is a standard MTB BB.
so any crankset and BB that takes your fancy. (not BB30 or any PF standard) so have a look at the shimano Deore for good and cheap."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I'm a big fan of Shimano cranks, buy which ever one fits your budget.0

One last question!
Would this be ok as a replacement? I've got about £100-ish to spend
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=82417
With
http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=362
And I also have a Bionicon Chainguard v0.2 for the lower chain.0 -
not unless your BB shell is an 83mm one (which it is not)."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I'd go for the deore or slx, surely the zee weights a tonne as it's a budget downhill crankset.0
