Sounds like you need a Nukeproof Mega.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

All the old ones are sold out, new ones are 1300 i think, and not avalable yet.0

The 160mm Mega AM is around your budget and a current 2013 model isn't it?Trail fun - Transition Bandit

2013 mega am is 1300 with shock, i'd prefer the tr version with a 150 fork up the front any way but that's the same price0

Ok, I apologise, I thought it was around £1100.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

Your not going to get anything but an EG for under £1K unless you get a sell off bargain or buy used.
CRC have a couple that work

Think I'd try another EG though!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
yup - if you want new, you're gonna be struggling to get anything decent for sure.
Noticed a few (old) Mega's on Pinkbike a couple of weeks back for about the price of a new EG.
EG frames should be back in stock in about 8wks apparently...waiting on one myself"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Titus FTM Carbon. Take 140/150mm forks at the front and has 135mm rear travel0

Went for a 2012 specilized stumpjumper fsr frame new for 800, same as 2013 I believe. Probably more suitable than the el guapo any for all around trail rides and trips to lakes.
The frame is standard 140 non EVO version, I've got a new pair of 150 floats to go on. Would anyone recommend reducing the travel to 140, my guess it's only half a degree slacker with 150.
Anyone know what specialized warranty policy is regarding maximum fork length for the stumpy.0 -
Usually plus 10% max.0

Cheers so all good, would you drop them to 140 or leave them at 150?0

I'd leave them at 150 it should be fine. I have a Spesh XC Pro which came with 120mm as standard but I have been running 140 Floats on it for the last 6 months and no problems whatsoever.0
