Had my bike service on Saturday at Lunar Cycles in North London (Kentish Town).
Bike was in pretty good nick overall, cassette needed to be changed due to me not changing the chain in a years use when the mechanic went to take off the cassette it simply came off in his hands without even using the chain tool! Not sure how Evans tightened that up. My bottom bracket was also pretty loose, not sure what was going on.
This post is more about the actual bike shop and the service that you get there. If you want an excellent quality service by an experienced mechanic who knows what he is doing and friendly staff then this is a place to take your bike. Its a really good looking bike shop, where the workshop is in full view of the public and you can stand and watch as your bike is brought back to life.
Ok, parts may be expensive but for the level of service I would be happy to pay as after all it is their business. Hanry (pronounced Henry like the footy player) knows his stuff and is very friendly.
If you are in and around the area or anywhere in London then I would highly recommend Lunar Cycles to anyone.

I would like to echo Goonz's sentiments as a good LBS deserves the advertising! I'm lucky to have Lunar Cycles as my LBS and they do any work on my bike, which I don't have the tools for. Last job was new UT bearings and new cassette.
They'll always be my go-to, even if I move elsewhere in London.Ben
