Hi all,

I'm new on here, and new to mountain biking, so strictly a beginner, and looking for some opinions please. I'm not far from Stainburn, and thinking of taking the bike up there for a play. I've walked the red route, and decided that's a bit ambitious for my (lack of) skills, so had a bit of a walk around in the woods on the opposite side of the road, where the natural XC trails are, to check that out. There's plenty of fire roads and whatnot that I can potter about on, but my question, for those that know the route, is whether the marked out XC trail route on that side of the road is doable for an unfit newbie on a budget bike (2007 Carrera Kraken with XCR forks), and is so, whether there's any particularly difficult / potentially painful (I don't bounce as well as when I was younger, lol) sections to watch out for?

Thanks in advance for any input.
