My club is running an open TT on the Brickendon course, just north of London.

There's still some space, online entry at the link above. It deserves its description as a "sporting" course with a couple of fairly lumpy climbs on the circuit, and its about an hours cycle from central London, so possible to cycle out, do the course and head back (though there's a train station 55 seconds from the start if you're doing about 22minute pace
