turn points on garmin connect

I have an edge 800 and using garmin connect to plan my road routes. However how do I get it to tell mewhen a change of direction is required. I was out on a route the other day and was struggli g to readwhere I needed to go.

    Download the route from garmin connect; on the device go to corses and select the route you want; in the settings for that route select Turn guidance on; select Go.
