That's one nice build! How's it ride? what do you mostly ride?0

I really like the Spider, very fast for an AM bike. I saw one in my local shop last week, very similar spec but with Enve rims and Chris King Hubs. I asked the price, I didn't know numbers went that high.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

thanks guys! the bike ride's AMAZING, i currently have a Yeti SB66 & this thing just feels so much more nimble, great climber, super grippy, not as easy to get in the air or as quick through the twisties but it just rolls over anything,
I LOVE the XX1 groupset, make for a really clean cockpit with the gripshift & its super precise.
Another bonus is the BB height is a little higher than the Yeti, i am getting fed up of pedal strikes & am always wary of pedal position when riding it, its a pain in the arse.
Im currently in the States driving an RV (camper) from Colorado through to Utah with the bike & ridden some demanding trails:-
Buffalo creek in pine (probably the greatest trail network i have ever been on, it has everything, awesome climbs, great descents, beautiful scenery, well laid out & designed)
Salida, rode the Rainbow trail, (some brilliant high mountain singletrack with some fast rocky descents)
Gunisson, rode the Hartman Rock network, (ok, but after Buffalo Creek,........meh)
I have Fruita & Moab to hit yet & cannot wait to get the bike there!
So i generally ride all types, from XC to trail centres, Scotland, Wales, Derbyshire etc.
im feeling the Yeti is gonna be redundant now i have this, i think i now have the go to 'do it all bike' ......finally!0 -
Beautiful Bike. I am getting ready to order a frame and I am trying to pick the right size. Would you mind telling me your height please?
THanks!0 -

Honestly one of the nicest bikes I've ever seen!Current:
NukeProof Mega FR 2012
Cube NuRoad 2018
Previous:
2015 Genesis CdF 10, 2014 Cube Hyde Race, 2012 NS Traffic, 2007 Specialized SX Trail, 2005 Specialized Demo 80 -
thanks guys! b.t.w. i was undecided as to sell the Yeti so i thought i would do a test, i rode Cannock in same conditions on both bikes, i did it 5 minutes quicker on Intense, The Yeti is now gone!
I bought into the more travel more fun philosophy, riding this proved it wrong, the Yeti just felt
mushy & heavy in comparison, its just brilliant0 -
That is one of the best looking bikes I have seen.
I saw this frame in one of my local LBS on Saturday and had a good gawp at it. Thank god it was high on the wall or they might have had to chuck me out for touching it inappropriately!0 -
That is a beautiful bike. I don't normally go for 29ers but this bike has made me change my viewpoint on the big-wheelers. On another note, how did you find the Yeti? I'm looking to buy one and I would like the opinion of a (former?) owner :-)2010 Lynskey R230
2013 Yeti SB660 -

If i was going to buy another SB66 i would deffo stump up the extra & get the carbon frame, one of the downsides was the Alu is quite weighty, also the stock FoxRP32 was rubbish, i sent it to TF Tuned for new internals (the midstroke was too active) also i would ride one of the new 27.5's
Another thing that used to grip my shi* was the amount of pedal strikes, the BB is LOW, other than that its a great bike!0 -
THE best looking mountain bike I've ever seen. I would love to see some more photos - perhaps some of it out on the trails?

thanks Declan, it rides better than it looks! here's a quick vid of it on Zippedy-Do-Dah in Fruita, Colorado, it's at the 18 road network, has to be one of the best trails i've ever ridden!
