Puncture resistant tyres

Overteh last few months i've had numerous punctures. At first i thought they were pinch punctures and my tryes were running too low. Well after the last one i looked at the tyre itself and there are around 4 or 5 small (1/2" or so ) cuts through the rubber. These have probably been caused by flint stones during riding and thats the cause of my punctures.
So i'm wondering, can anyone recommend some tyres that run ok in mud, but also ok on road, that would also resist being cut by flint? I ride in thetford so we have a lot of flint in the forest, and its starting to cost in inner tubes (though i think i lost my last one out of the saddle bag!).

Easy answer? Whatever came with teh bike. Its a specialized hard rock. I'll check later to see what brand, but i'm gonna go halfords and see what they have before i go out on the bike this afternoon.
Ok just checked, thier Specialized own brand, Fask Track LKs.0 -
Well as i wanted a tyre today i went out and got a Bike Hut Puncture Resistant tyre 26" x 2.30. Looks chunky and heavy but i was desperate to get something so i can go out on bike today. Will get a better tyre later on when i have more money to spend on a decent one.0

Each to their own, but that is not what I'd've done.0

It might not be ideal, but i wasnt going to risk the existing tyre on another ride, not with 4 holes in it!
Anyway been out round Thetford and Santon Downham today. This new tyre seems to grip better than my old one, no surprise as teh blocks are larger, but as i'd suspected it was slow rolling. Not by much, but just enough to notice on teh flatter parts. At least this time i've done 26miles and for once no puncture!
I'd say that, as i'm not racing for points or trophys only fun, this tyre will do me until i can afford really decent, lighter, faster rolling ones. I dont need to be fast, i dont need excessive grip. I just want to get round without stopping to fix a flat!0
