Looking to spend £700 on a hardtail.
I'm 6'3"
29er appeals to me.
Thoughts on, http://www.radon-bikes.de/xist4c/web/ZR ... 22274_.htm , http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes ... tml?b=3005 or http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165499. Cube Ltd 26er seems good @£600 but fancy a 29er being so tall.
Trail riding, short commute, bit of fun & fitness, nothing to hardcore.
Please post up some links. New or used.
Thank you

Which Canyon are you actually looking at? Link is too the family.
Both are better specced than the B'man, the 5.9 has better forks and drivetrain, the 6.9 is just better everywhere.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Thanks,
I was looking at the 5.9. Happy to pay a little more but you have to stop somewhere.0 -
5.9 is the best of those posted, the XC28 fork on the trek linked too is rather weak, especially in 29er trim.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

XC32 & it's a fair bit under budget.
I have one, alot more agile than I expected a 29er to be.0 -
Original post updated with proper links to actual different bikes. Not sure what happened before.
Thanks for looking.0 -
Being tall doesn't mean that 29ers are any better than 26" bikes. The correct size 26" bike will fit you just as well as the correct size 29" bike. You get better value for money with 26" wheels at the moment.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Thanks for all the replies guys, really appreciated. Seems there is so much available up to the £700 mark. Been looking pretty much all day and still no clue where to put my money.
Keep them coming.0 -
If I was going down the 29er route with your budget I'd stretch to this - £799
Lotta bike for the money!

Can someone please post up a link to Voodoo Bizango? Can't seem to find an active link that works. They don't seem available for sale from Halfords now. Can find some info on google but nothing that directly links to a sale option.
Thanks0
