Anyone got any clever tips for threading them through the frame? There are no cables currently installed and no internal sleeves.

use a bit of string and your vacuum cleaner

string in 1 end and suck it out the other

keep the start end very safe as well....

    I like it, thanks!
  • Put a kink at the end of the cable inner so its at an angle, feed through the frame then rotate at the exit hole and you should be able to grab it from there. Then feed the cable outer back in through the exit hole back to the entry hole. Was a tip from a bike mech who I recently bought a frame from.

If you have a workstand, fix the frame to it and rotate so that the intended entry & exit points are in a vertical line, and just keep trying with gravity assisting. This worked for me once, even though it took all of the second half of Bolton v Everton on the radio to do it.
