Basically does anyone have any experience t running v brakes on canti/road bike levers via a travel agent?

How good or bad are they?

    I use them to run 105 shifters and Deore V-brakes on a Surly Long Haul trucker. Previously I used them on a hybrid bike which I'd converted to drop bars. They work fine so far as I'm concerned - no problems at all. They look a bit ugly though.

    Thanks thats all I needed to know. I've decided to get a Surly Cross Check frame and forks set. I have two sets of V's (deore and xt). I did consider mini V's but have found issues when fitting mudguards in the. And, don't think they work well with STI levers. For daily use I have found cantis to be a pain in the backside at times.
