should i fit 150mm forks

I have aquired a kona dawg deluxe 2008 frame its new and unused. Origanally the complete bike was fitted with 140mm forks. I was wondering if a set of 150/110 dual position forks would be a good idea. I am aware this would slacken the head angle and warrenty is not an issue but is the frame strong enough. Reason for asking is i have been offered a set of forks from a friend and it would save a lot of money that could be spent on better spec parts.
