Dear All,
I'm travelling to Alicante in June with colleagues, I'm taking my bike as I'm staying for a week but 3 others were hoping to hire decent road bikes for a day or two. Does anyone know of hire shops actually in Alicante centre? http://www.ciclocostablanca.com, http://www.cyclogicalcostablanca.com and http://www.solybike.com all based up the coast near Benidorm.
Any help greatly appreciated!
All the best,
Rob

Great place for biking both MTB & road been plenty of times as have a place over there (not mine in the family) that is about 20kms south of there.
Not sure on whats open now as the last place I recommended that did deliveries had shut down, seems to be common in Spain ATM.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
Thanks - yes closures appear to be a common theme across most sectors in Spain - tough times
Wow lucky to have access to a place out there! Great winter training venue. Any particularly good climbs/routes we should hit when down there?

I know I am reviving an old thread but I am now in the same position. Will be arriving at Alicante airport with no car, and need to get to a house my friend is renting about 50 miles inland. So I could travel a little way by public transport but not very much at all!
Since the last post has anyone found anywhere renting bikes in Alicante centre, or who deliver bikes to Alicante?
Cheers,

I was in Alicante last weekend visiting my son, be careful people traffic over there is pretty mental, the sudden roundabouts and poorly signed junctions catch a lot of drivers out.
Speeding is the norm :?Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
