Trek Fuel EX7 Vs. Trek Fuel EX8

I'm getting my first full suspension mountain bike and I've narrowed it down to the Trek Fuel EX7 and the Fuel EX8. The difference between the two is that the EX8 has DRCV in the front fork and overall the components have been upgraded to Shimano SLX and Deore XT. But are these upgrades on the EX8 worth the extra 400-500$ ???
