Hi Guys,

As the subject suggest, i'm looking for any bike bag recommendations (preferably sub £100) for taking my large size Commencal Meta SX to morzine in late august for a week of the three b's (beers, buds and bikes ...and possibly bears)...

I think i'm looking for wheels, strength, size to accommodate a larger/perhaps unusually shaped full sus bike....

So far i'm drawn towards the value of the CRC bag... http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=68409 at £50 its a steal, and i will only be using it once or twice a year...any thoughts?

I have one - it aint looking so good anymore

If you drive to the terminal, put it on a luggage trolley and wheel it through the terminal ever time, then go for it, it ll be fine!

If you have to use public transport to get to the airport or you regularly fly with the bike then I'd suggest stumoing up for the evoc bag or even a box. On my CRC bag, Most of the handles have ripped now some of the zips on the inside don't work any more and the wheels are getting very loose. Because I live abroad I use it a lot, have to walk 10 mins with the bag to the train station (15 with the bag), hump it onto a train etc then repeat on the way back.

I have one of these - http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/BAPXDLBB/planet_x_deluxe_bike_bag It isnt bad, not had any damage to my bike after 4-5 trips to alps and 2 trans-atlantic.

Actually just relooked at the link and that isnt mine - mine has wheels and a hardened base section which that one doesnt and the straps are removable. But it appears otherwise to be very similar so could be good.
    Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.
