Ebay! Somebody will be asking soon where to get air to blow their tyres up with!0

eBay for the end caps, purely because of the range of colours available (I'm a tart) and it's not exactly a critical part of your bike so quality isn't too important.
Cables I buy 5-10 at a time either online from a bike shop (e.g. CRC, JE James) or a physical LBS. Some LBSs charge a fortune for them though so shop around.0 -
LBS every time. Same for bottle cage bolts/brake blocks/chains etc.Yellow is the new Black.0

Due to not noticing two zeros, I accidently bought 1000 in stead of 10 from an online shop, SJS I think. I'm just hoping that several generations of termites will be into bike maintenance so that we get our money's worth.0

Why use them at all as if crimped too tight they can easily splay out the cable end causing all sorts of difficulty when removing and re-inserting the cable. I use shrink plastic sleeving which can be applied using a heat gun or hair-dryer and which prevents splaying but can be removed with no damage to the cable.0

Just go with the crimps and do not over crimp them :-)
Its been a perfectly reasonable solution for as long as ..... ooohh... forever. No need to re-engineer such an insignificant item.
Plus there is a bloke in Aesch that has a few spare I think.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
