White hands.....

Hi all,

Summer is here in Spain however I've encountered a problem....

I'm getting tan lines in the usual places, tops of the arms and legs where shorts start etc. When I'm riding I feel like I have to wear gloves, or mitts, for comfort sake and because I feel strangely unnatural without them - although this has led tot he problem of white hands....

So I now have very brown arms and legs, with bright white hands.

I currently use the gloves below and also fingerless ones from Decathlon.

My question is, does anyone know of any gloves/mitts etc that allow the suns rays to penetrate and tan the skin beneath?

Nobody has invented tan mitts afaik :lol

Crochet or ‘retro’ leather mitts with ‘D’ shape cutaway might give you a more interesting tan pattern.

By the end of last summer I had a cracking tan that went down to my wrist, then started again at my knuckes :-)

Thanks chaps, just checked out the Rapha ones as recommended above.....I'm thinking that £100 on some summer fingerless gloves may be a tad excessive however

If anyone else does happen to know of any other solutions that may work then please let me know, as it is, I shall have to put up with the Missus laughing at my bright white hands :D

Fake tan? Then they could be orange.

I refuse to provide advice to a post that is clearly aimed at sticking 2 fingers up the the great UK weather. :-)

If only that were a problem over here. Our problem is usually white everything as there is no sun.

There are some tan-through cycling gloves out there such as http://www.roeckl.de/en/products/biking ... ove/isera/ (I was on a training camp a couple of years back and I'm sure someone there claimed their Castelli gloves were tan through) but it's a weird badge of honour thing to have white hands and brown finger tips with a brown spot by your thumb :p

    I beg to differ!

In Yorkshire and I currently have visible tan lines on my wrists from the weekends riding. I suspect not as dramatic as the Spanish equivalent though
