Cav's next race
Not sure I'm posting on the right forum, but can anyone tell me when Cav is racing again. He's gone very quiet lately on twitter and seems a bit pissed off with the team at the moment, maybe he needs/wants Mark Renshaw back with him, which maybe on the cards next season.

I think he's doing Romandie*
Yeah, when he's quiet on Twitter, its usually cos he's not a happy camper.
If Renshaw's not with him next year, I'll be very surprised. Cav did say in an interview in late 2011 that he reckoned that Rabo as was, had got Renshaw to sign with them on promise of backing him as a sprinter when really they wanted him as lead-out (for Bos, presumably).
*just seen that Rich beat me to it0 -
I do also think that with OPQS having such a focus on Spring classics, it's almost impossible for them to get all their main men in the one place to work on getting it right. While the likes of Scheldeprijs was a shambles for Cav, it wasn't exactly the A Squad, because the A Squad were all over Europe doing their own thing.
The Romandie squad looks a bit more like it, though if Cav was focused solely on winning sprints he'd be in Turkey. I guess Romandie is better preparation for a battering in the Italian Alps!0 -
Cav's got little in the way of sprint competition at Romandie, looking at the teams. Be interesting to see how Stage 2 pans out - last year they thought Stage 1 was going to be Cav-friendly, but it wasnt (but it was Wiggins-friendly)0
