Puncture in tyre, chuck it?

So i had a nasty puncture in my GT400s(again) and after changing tube, it was clear that the tyre was shot, as it was protruding out.(not massive hole but enough for tube to poke out)

Now this tyre is new!, and the other GT400s did not last more than a month either, both due to glass in road/potholes.

Question, is there any way to repair tyres like you can with tubes? or do i just chuck them away and don't let the hippies see me doing so(seems like a waste of rubber and money..)

You can try and return it, but you might get another of the same.
A couple of pieces of advice

    1) Get good quality tyres
    2) Try to avoid glass, you have to concentrate on the road and keep your eyes at a distance that allow you to dodge glass... typically glass is visible, especially if it is sunny

Google suggests that it's an LG smartphone. Perhaps the OP means a Continental GP4000?
  • ^^ typo error there, yes they are GP400s tyres, and yes they are quality tyres i thought.

Its hard to avoid glass when you don't see any on road then tyre just blows out from below you.

Maybe its bad luck i'm having with these tyres, but with my gator skins i had no issues apart from terrible racing performance :( .

I'm personally going to just take compensation against the council as i've had many punctures caused by terrible roads so think i'll do the american approach

You can either have light racing tires or heavier tires that are more puncture resistant because of the extra layers of hard wearing materials - you can't have both.

Continental GP4000S are light racing tires. You made that choice and you have been unlucky with where you are riding.

I doubt if any tire would resist riding over glass shards.
