2011 Canyon Nerve XC 9.0, anyone know what BB I have?
Annoyingly Canyon don't archive old bike specs on their site anymore
I'm getting a LOT of clicking noises when I push down on the pedals. I have cleaned, lubed, etc the handlebar and stem so I don't believe the noise is from their when I pull on the bars. It is hard to tell the source but I do believe it's the BB or at least there's no harm in investigating and cleaning it.
Thanks

Got a picture?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

What can you see? External cups or push in? What cranks?0

I believe external cups, can see silver rings each side with notches and torque amounts written.
SRAM carbon X0 cranks I believe from memory._______________________________________________________________________________________

Brilliant, many thanks!!
Lastly, could a BB be a cause for clicking noise?_______________________________________________________________________________________

Yep! Or the chainrings (bolts), pedal bearings, cracked frame, headset - quite a few things!0

It certainly can be and probably is. Everytime my BBs need replaced they click for about a week beforehand.0

I've had the bike a couple years and I have used it quite frequently and in all weathers on the trails, it's been through a lot of gritty mud and sand.
I don't believe I can feel play in the BB but I may go ahead and replace it and hope that cures the sound. I'm surprised that a new BB is only about £25 or so. The pedals are nearly new V12's so I don't think can be them.

Thanks guys. Read a lot of people saying the SRAM one is junk and clicking doesn't take long to start.
Think I will go for a Hope one with their GXP adapters._______________________________________________________________________________________

This site archives old bike catalogues

Web pages never really disappear, many are at places like web.archive.org
Original page here. Click on geometry for BB type which is Truvativ GXP
