I have changed from a triple set up to a double, I have changed the front mech for a 2x10 and fitted new chain rings to lower and middle, bash guard to outer, new chain, cassette, shorter cage rear mech.
All works great but I can't get the front mech set up right it changes up to middle ok but when going back down to lower it always drops off onto the frame. I have tried the front mech in loads of positions, cable and index adjustment and end stop adjustment to no avail.
Do you have to get a double front shifter I'm sill on the triple one, or is it just the adjustment I'm not getting right?
Muchos help would be appreciated, thanks Colin.

I have similar issues of losing the chain when I swap big to small on my 2x10 but only when I'm in the big sprocket on the back. I keep making adjustments and getting it closer, but it isn't quite right. Staying away from the big sprocket works ok until I get the adjustment spot on.0
