Algarve - road routes and hire?

Afternoon all
I'm heading out to Portugal (near to Lagos) in a week for 10 days of sun, surfing and golf. Would also like to include some cycling into the intinerary.
Can anyone recommend a decent place to go for bike hire (decent road bikes) and route recommendations?
We will be looking to put in some serious miles (probably 50-80) on each of, perhaps, 3 rides.
