Rutland-Melton Cicle Classic
Billed as "Britain's only single day road race" - Chance to watch some live cycling this weekend in the East Midlands. Not quite Paris-Roubaix, on which is is modelled but a great day out. Head for Owston where the race does three circuits and where they serve the best burgers and hot dogs.

Britain's only single one day road race? How exactly? Only UCI tour event maybe.0

Couldnt get to it this year
Was there last year and weather was horrific - only about 8 riders finish from memory. I watched from Borough-on-the-hill usually not a tough climb but the water was flowing down it like a river and the wind was something else. Then drove to the finish in Melton, think me and the misus were amongst probably bout 25 people at the finish.

Just don't call it 'the British Paris-Roubaix' or Magnus Backstedt will get annoyed again...0

Plenty of cycling going on elsewhere this weekend obviously, but here's a little plug for a short I produced and shot with a small, talented team of individuals. Enjoy https://vimeo.com/65309462-- Dirk Hofman Motorhomes --0

Thanks guys. Please share it around: it will really help the organiser, who has had to fight tooth and nail over the years to put the race on.-- Dirk Hofman Motorhomes --0
