  • Fair enough, doesn't detract from it IMO. Much better to have a bike you can ride rather than one that kills you after a few hours.

Yep Arthur that was my sentiments exactly, too many people have pretty bikes that they don't ride, I do around 6000 Miles a year sometimes more and I enjoy riding all my bikes.

  • That Ritchey stem is nice!

'Freuler' geometry is where Colnago kept the stack height (i.e. vertical level) of the top tube constant while it extended both the seat tube and the head tube above the level of the top tube to accomodate taller riders. They did this on frames over 61 or 62 cm, probably to preserve the 'look' of larger frames. Used to be several pix of them on the web but not so many these days. Pergoretti do the same thing - extend the head tube above its junction with the top tube - on several of their frames.

Given your large number of spacers, this style of head tube would argueably improve the look of your front end.

    Make sense?

    Yep I understand thanks FJ.

I'm not a competitive rider any more so as long as the bikes are comfortable then that is the most important thing to me.

You should see some of the lads in the club with their stack height, probably 2-3 times mine!!!

I enjoy technology and refuse to accept in my mind that I am getting older and less flexible, but at least I am riding and enjoying it!

A good example of 'Freuler' geometry is Bradley Wiggins' old dolan.

Beautiful frame. Would be great to see wheels, group and finishing kit silver, with gum walls.

    Still a stunning steel.

Beautiful. Those forks are so elegant.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Thanks, a bike is for riding not hiding :-)

Are they doing the C60 in Saroni Red?

I'll be holding out until they do! There's a rumour it will be available in "classic" colour schemes but that's as much as I've heard to be honest.

Equipped with Looks Blades on that you tube vid. All you need now is to upgrade the Athena 11 to SR but I'm sure you'll have some SR spare when you decide to upgrade one of your C59 to a C60. Prefer the black tape and saddle on yours rather than the brown though!!

Your a daft bugger Liam, you've actually seen it in the garage with SR on it!

And no, do you think I could sneak a C60 in under Deborah's nose!!!

Nah, I'm actually happy with what I have now, no intentions of more, going to post the upgrades on the 150th Anniversary, lighter now and to my mind better.

With your skills I think you can get it passed Deborah. I've given up sneaking packages into the house.
