hi I have a pair of 2012 revelations rl 150mm is it possible to knock them down to 140mm?

Yep, needs a 10mm All Travel spacer fitting under the air piston head.

Can be done at home - service/tech manuals are at SRAM website, though can take some finding!

Fairly straightforward, i did it last year. Not easy, but not difficult. Take photos along the way if you're worried about how the air spring stacks back together.

Did a DIY job going the other way, no step is particularly difficult, just take it one at a time, and as Bennett says make sure you take note of the air spring rod and guide and how it fits together.
