Hi,
has anyone had an experience of using Direct Validation Services for an insurance claim/repair?
My cyclocross bike was involved in an accident with a dog and needs repairing.
Got a quote from my local bike shop but my insurance company has told me I have to use the above mentioned organisation.
Anyone had a similar situation and did it work out ok?
cheers.
All my life I've wanted to be someone; I guess I should have been more specific.

They are a claims handling outfit who have bulk deals with companies. Insurance is there to put you in the same place you were before the incident occurred. I don't think an insurance company can force you to use a particular supplier of you are not happy/satisfied with them.

They want you to as they get a kickback.
MTB or Road - They are both good!

An independent assessor came and inspected my bike after an accident, the bloke was fine and I was more than happy with the result. I'd printed out plenty of online prices for the damaged parts which seemed to help, everything carbon was written off without question.
They assessor wrote the bike off and I got extra for all of the upgrades, plus they let me keep the bike and advised me to strip it and eBay it.
