Numpty Question :)

Will my Garmin 800 recognise an additional Cadence sensor?

I want to fit one on my best bike as well as my everyday bike.

TIA

You not a numpty & yes it will. You might need to press the button on the sensor when you've fitted it to your second bike.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
  • Thanks Dan.

    More money :)

Make sure it's compatible - will need to be ANT+ connectivity
  • Cheers djm.
    Bought a GSC 10.

The Garmin Edge 800 supports multiple bike profiles. This allows you to pair the edge with devices on different bikes.

Exact details should be in the manual, but yes it'll work absolutely fine.

Plus a new mount for the good bike if you've not got one already!

On the 500 you go into settings, bike settings, bike details and switch to Bike 2 and then pair it, then you switch between the two bikes each time you swap. It keeps different mileage totals for each bike as well.

    Thanks for the input everyone.

Garmin are nice and bundle two mounts in the original kit don't they? I'm sure mine did.

When I build a new bike, I make sure there are no other bikes with the Cadence sensor active around it as it will come up with Multiple sensors. So to be sure I take my new build outside into the Garden so that it can't detect the other sensors.

The Garmin 705, 800 and 810 will support up to to 5 bikes if you have the latest software, the 500 only supports 3, not sure about the 510.
