Getting caked in mud

For some unknown reason back in November last year, I was chatting to an old friend who convinced me that it would be great fun to do a 10-12 mile obstacle course all in the name of fun, the date for this event is May 5th (which in Nov was ages away and so accepted to join him).... Now that's just over 2 weeks away and I'm not so enthused about the whole thing, but as I've paid £95 to enter, I'm going to do it!
Anyway, thought I'd share if anyone else has in the past been stupid enough to enter or has entered for this years....

So for someone like me, who is certainly not a runner and never has been, this is going to be tough; I'm planning on walking at least half of it..... I'm seriously bored of running "training" as I'm so slow! Why cant it be mountain biking with obstacles, now that would be much better!

Fark THAT. I hate being submerged. I'm claustrophobic and hate the thought of getting stuck in something like that and not being able to be pulled out.0

I don't mind crawling through a pipe, but the crawling through a pipe half filled with water is a farking scary thought!
I'll happily go jump in here twice rather than do that pipe crawl full with water thing....
At least there's 5 of us doing it together for moral support!0 -
All obstacles listed here.... Some actually look "fun", some look like hell!

I bought a bearing press tool for £60 earlier and thought i was crazy.
my mate did this a couple of years ago and got through it, and he's a proper girl.
probably the worst thing about it is that you're essentially paying a hundred quid to be cold and wet and hang out with a load of dickbrains. which if you live near southend you could have done for a lot less.0 -

This looks like the kind of thing the likes of Stuart Hall or Richard Hammond would make "hillarious" commentaries for

The best description yet.... I have to keep asking myself why I paid to do this, apparently it's supposed to be fun; I'm thinking "fun" is the wrong word to describe this!0 -
