Hi there. On the look out for a new bike I like the look of the in the title. Which is better and do you have any recommendations in the £1500 price range. Cheers for any help.

Love my nerve, but cant comment on the Vitus.
They are two quite different bikes, one having 120mm travel and the other having 140mm.
What sort of riding are you thinking of using them for?0 -
mainly single track in the local woods. need a bike that will climb as well as go down, think the 120mm travel will be enough for me.0

The Vitus is a bit more laid back so wont climb quite as well as the Canyon but will be touch quicker downhill, mind you I have rattled my Nerve 7.0 down some scary rocky trails and its done me fine. If you were wanting to do trail centre Black runs I would say Vitus if your looking at a more mixed singletrack then I would say Canyon.
Canyon sounds the ideal for you though you wont go wrong with either.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -

Have a look at the Boardman at Halfords or the Cube AMS for a 120mm or the Norco Sight for a 140mmFig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

They are top bikes and will provide a good base to upgrade as things wear out. Stock can be hard to find though as most Halfords only carry one or two FS bikes but they can get you one from another store usually next day.
