Specialized Rockhopper Pro vs Carve Comp

I'm looking at getting a 29er and settled on the Rockhopper Pro. I then saw the Carve Comp. These bikes look almost identical. Why would you choose the Carve Comp over the Rockhopper Pro at £200 more expensive?

Does it justify the £200 extra?0

The fork on the Carve is much better and lighter than the one on the Rockhopper. The frame is made from a better grade of aluminium which should be lighter and more compliant. There are other differences in spec as well. Get a test ride, only you can decide if it justifies the extra cost.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Probably.
But I don't think either bike justifies its price in the first place.0 -

I would say they are about right unless you compare them to the mail order only bikes like Rose, and Canyon etc.
It's £300 cheaper than the equivalent spec Giant XTC 29er.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
