Hi not been here for a while but needed some new wheels!
After a bit of searching I decided to try some 27.5s on my 26er, I found some Italian vuelta hyperlites made by Fir.(birthday gift from my girlfriend)
As you can see plenty of clearance and the Tyres don't rub the fork crown at full compression!!!
Done 50km on them so far and Lovin them, really smooth and positive!! Handles as good of not better than the 26ers. Also as you can see I have a reverb which I got about a year ago and what a difference, no more stops to lower the seat!

Bottom bracket looks really high. I think I will stick with the right size wheels on my bikes.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Looks silly, not convinced it will handle corners well at all at speed while its that high.0

It looks like when a widescreen image is compressed onto a 4:3 screen.0

Except the front wheel still looks roundTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I think the angle of the photo is a bit deceiving because it doesn't fell any taller to ride! ,I'll take another pic and post it later!0

Why would the front run on full compression?0

Doesn't run on full compression, only if you had a really heavy landing the tyre will not hit the fork crown and throw you over the bars!0

What's the clearance like on the back wheel with the frame? It's got to be very close.0

The bottom bracket height is 340mm and the rear wheel has tones of room!!!! But there's not much mud here in Lanzarote so clearance wouldn't be much of an issue. Just back from a 40km ride and Lovin it!!
