Where can I enter junior enduro competitions?

I am 16 years old and live on the east-coast of Scotland (just north of Edinburgh), I have always been interested in mountain biking and love the feeling of travelling fast and having fun! but there is a serious side, I'd like to start doing enduro, I like the downhill thrill of going through trails but also like powering it up hill! what kind of training should I do and where can I find events or clubs? I am a believer of getting out and experiencing something before saying this is what I want to do.

There are a few enduro series on, UK gravity enduro series, X fusion enduro series, a few smaller series etc. Check roots and rain, they'll all have junior categories. There's not that many right now and they're scattered all over the place, so it might be hard for a 16 year old to get to. As for local clubs, google or ask in your LBS.
