Just been told by Dr. I have to cut down on training for a week as have a chest & throat infection
Also told I have high blood pressure, but that could be related to infection....

All I want to do is ride while the Sun is out. :(

I went out in shorts and SS jersey for the first time this year - didn't even need arm warmers either!

Ended up doing a nice fast ride despite the wind. Spot on.

The winter chill has gone out of the air - its actually starting to feel 'warm' generally. I've discovered a pair of white spindly things between my hips and my feet - been covered up so long forgot what they looked like!

Yep it may be windy but because there is no nip in the air it still feels really nice. Began with arm warmers this morning, half thorugh my commute they were off and my gilet was fully unzipped.

Still using 3/4 shorts for now but soon to start on the proper shorts.

It was so nice when i got home from work last night that i went out in shorts for the first time this year. After about 30 mins the sky started to get darker, it wasn't long before it was raining and then throwing it down. It didn't last for too long but i was soaked my the time i got home.

Hopefully the same won't happen tonight!
  • My shell jacket has been relegated to the back pocket now, i'm always shifty about leaving it at home because rain can hit anytime but it's genuinely exciting to have sunny weather!

Need to dig out my shorts now though...

Expect the weather to take a turn for the worst - I've put all my winter gloves and bib longs away and pulled out the shorts, kee warmers and short fingered gloves.

I didn't bring my winter kit back to uni with me on Sunday... obviously tempting fate!

Cheers, you've just saved me money by delaying an n+1 mountain bike moment so as not to doubly jinx the weather.
