Just broken the pump I use to carry on my commuter, so looking to get a new pump for my MTBing (current one will be retired to the commuter), easy swap from Shraeder to Presta preferred, but bias on Presta, lightweight, good quality and cheap, looking to spend less than £15 if I can.....

Suggestions?
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

If you can stretch to an extra tenner the Topeak Mountain Morph is excellent. Kinda mid-sized but fits in my CamelBak easily (reckon it's about 30cm long when it's at it's shortest)

Bontrager Air Rush. Excellent tiny pump, also does CO2 cartridges.

My usual recommendation: Blackburn Mammoth. Can usually be found for a tenner and last forever.

My go-to is the Leynze micro-drive (medium). Bomb proof, beautifully made and worth everso slightly exceeding your budget for.

I have two - one for the camelbak (other hydration systems are available, always read the label), one for the work bag.

Struggling to find that, can only find the 12" long mini floor or a tiny jobby....have a link to the one you mean?

  • Hello! First post here after lurking for many years. Time to hand back a little help after getting so much advice in the past.

I've had the Scott Minipump Shot for over 3 years and it's been fantastic. Tiny but really pumps the large MTB tyres easily.

I also have a Cannondale Airspeed Plus. Convenient as it has a mini hose with a dual Shradar/Presta connector but it's slightly bigger than the Scott. Perhaps useful if swapping between valve sizes is very important to you.

    Hope this helps!

I use a Blackburn Airstick. Works well, lifetime guarantee, and had a red plunger thingy so pumps faster, obviously.

I'm a bellend - 'Alloy Drive', not micro drive. Micro drive is the light.

    Here you go:

(other providers are available - I got both mine at Leisure Lakes)

It's got a good old hose with both fittings on. Not cheap but I've not bust one yet (unlike my ********* pumps, which were bloody dreadful and let me down when I needed them).

Thanks, tossing up between those 3, the red shaft clearly appeals as it must pump tyres up faster!

They are about the only things CB make that don't seem to fall apart!

Shame as the Cobalt wheels do look awesome!
