Thinking of heading to North Wales for a week in July. Looking for a self-catering cottage for two near the trails at Coed-y-Brenin. There are plenty to be found on the google-tron but a personal recommendation would be great!

Cheers!

Try Trawsfyndd holiday village. Log cabins of all sizes , clean and a nice pub on site. Only 5 mins away.

Try Cae Gwyn - a few mins cycle away from the centre. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices

We're staying in Cae gwyn in June so will report back on what it is like. had lots of god reviews from friends that have used it mind. They give you lifts to the local pub for a couple of quid apparently :-)

Hi, a bit off topic- can't help with cottage in the area but stayed in a great bunkhouse in Betws-y-coed two weeks ago, £30 pp half board- great evening meal and bar. About 20 mins from coed y brenin, perfect after the beast!
    Shout if that would help.

Well I can confirm that Cae Gwyn did the trick. Would go back. Camping barn is basic but has everything you will need. Bit tight on places to hang stuff to dry mind. Rest was superb. Midges were a nightmare!!!!!
