Can't upload to Strava

When I try to upload to Strava, from my Edge 800, the web site states that it's searching for activities, then I get a progress bar stating 'Parsing Activities'. I seems to just hang here. I can exit to other areas of the site, but it won't progress any further when trying to upload.
Any thoughts ? Anyone else had this issue ?
cheers..... Matt

You could always export the GPX file from Garmin connect and upload it into Strava manually to see if that works.0

What browser do you use? Mine never worked with Opera, but fine with Internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox. That may be the issue?0

Choose "from file" and browse to the relevant fit file to upload.0 -
Using Explorer, I'll try to upload 'from file'.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Uploading from Brytonsport to Strava stopped working for me on Thursday this week I think. Tried both Chrome and FF on different days. Ended up exporting from Bryton as a gpx and importing that.0

I have this with garmin connect with the 800 it endlessly searches and never finds new activities. I have the device set to log to the micro sd card rather than the garmin itself. Do you have a lot of activities in one folder?
I got garmin connect to work occasionally by making a sub folder (called in my case 2012) within the activities folder and placing all 2012 actvities in it.0 -
There's issues at the moment, I had this on Friday.
Have you updated the Communicator plugin?

I get the communicator plug - in error on chrome - its due to the fact, in my case, that garmin wont release a 32 bit version of th eplug in. I have to use firefox. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
The plug-in is up to date, but Explorer is IE8. That said, I didn't have an issue with IE8 last time I uploaded :?
I can upload to Garmin Connect with out any issue.
I've uploaded all the activities individually as files, and that's worked. There were 53 files in the activity folder, so maybe that was the issue ?
I shall try again tomorrow with a single file after tomorrow evening's ride.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

same thing happend to me using explorer, swap to chrome as your browser0

I have the same intermittent problem with Win7 64Bit. Sometimes using Garmin Connect first works, or more typically I have to crash firefox, the Garmin Communicator plugin crashes and then it all tends to work. I'm using a Forerunner 305 so thought that might be the problem, but will update the driver and see if that helps0

I had exactly the same problem with IE8. I think there was a Strava update a week or so ago (the look and feel certainly changed at the upload stage), and to be fair it has been saying that IE8 wasn't supported for a while now - so maybe that's it?
I need IE8 for work, so installed Firefox and that works fine.0 -

Had similar issue with garmin 500 after 3.0 update. Fixed by hardware resetting the device (make sure you save all your activities, they all will be lost)

Still no joy
It uploads to Garmin Connect without problem, but Strava won't play ball. I can only get files to Strava if I 'upload from file'.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Having the same problem uploading from edge510 I get a speck of green on the upload bar before it seems to freeze, having to use copy my sport to transfer rides between Garmin connect and strava, this works although very slow sometimes waiting 10-12 hours.0
-
Why don't you try uploading it through a 3rd party like tapiriik, I did that yesterday and didn't have any problemsOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0
