FSA crank removal (BB30)
FSA Omega chainset and BB30 bottom bracket. The non drive side crank has a self extracting bolt, which I read is a normal thread. Using a 8mm allen key, the bolt loosens by half a turn (and projects out about 2-3mm) and then becomes incredibly hard to turn with a normal length 8mm key. Is it supposed to be this difficult or do I need a longer key?

Jon, all BB30 cranks are like that. the going gets hard after half/1 turn. just keep going while holding drive side with your other hand. it will loosen up afterwards. also make sure you get those long armed 10mm allen key otherwise it will be quite a strain on your arms. and all BB30 are 10mm allen keys, 8mm is for 24mm axlesRoad - Cannondale CAAD 8 - 7.8kg

Thanks Ricky
For some reason, I was convinced I was using a 8mm  Yeah, I'll definately need a long key, I tried using a normal length one and it was impossible0
