Back in July last year bought a Boardman pro carbon from my local halfords after doing about fifty miles the front wheel went out of true, so i took the wheel back to halfords and had it retrued. Then after about anouther fifty miles it went out of true again so back to halfords and had it retrued then after anouther ride it went out of true again. So this time I took it to the LBS and had it retrued by them. Then after anouther ride the same problem so back to halfords this time they ordered a new wheel. The Boardman is my summer bike so a few weeks ago I got back out of the shed and yes after two rides the wheel was out of true so back to halfords they retrued it, so after anouther ride it went out of true again so back to halfords this time they ordered anouther wheel. So this took a few days and when I went to pick up the new wheel they had ordered me a set of Mavic ksyrium elite s. Result as they said they couldn't get hold of the original wheels. After looking on line there seems to be a problem with the equipe wheels going out of true, I was wondering if Mavic should do a recal on these wheels.

Mavic wont do a recall unless it works out cheaper than the cost of replacements at the current rate.

There are enough people happy with their equipes that it simply isn't worth replacing them, which would be the result if a recall happened.

I had to replace my rear wheel last week because it wouldnt stay in shape , £160 got me a handbuilt Shimano105 wheel with 32 spokes CD Ceramic rim and 105 hub. I was out yesterday in the pouring rain and my braking was dismal to the point where I really must look into getting better brake pads as a few times it was pretty hairy trying to stop the bike
