Lads,

I have the pleasure of attending a wedding in Rome this summer. Does anyone know any good bike shops I may slip away to. Looking for some good jerseys, maybe a Colnago frame etc.

Thx.

Probably all out of the city in the suburbs/industrial estates. Can't imagine that a lowly LBS would make enough to get a shop in the city...

Mind, I ve never been to Rome so what do i know...

I bought a Campagnolo Jersey from a bike shop in Rome, they had a Magnesium Pinerello in the window. Not much of a shop. Closed for lunch time, which meant I had a very good coffee in the shop opposite. Long walk from Pantheon, cant remember where it was.

I have no idea what's going on here.

I was in Rome for the first time this Easter and asked the same question before I went. I couldn't find any firm information so thought I would just have a look about whilst I was there, you'll be dissappointed I'm afraid, If, like me, you'll be in and around the tourist areas then there really aren't any sports shops in fact the only sports shop I saw was the official ROMA FC shop. I was dissapointed as I went to Venice last summer and our hotel in Venice Mestre was litterally just down the road from a great bike shop, typically Italian selling Willier, Campagnolo and Italian trade team kits. I also noticed that there are very few cyclists in Rome, might be due to the fact that they are very poor drivers, you don't see many cars with out a scrape or dent.

Have fun and enjoy what Rome has to offer, which isn't cycling shops.
