Wiggle New Forest Signage damage

Hi Just noticed that the signage for the Wiggle Ride tomorrow/Sunday has been vandalized at Moyles Court School in the New Forest. There's been a lot of anti-cycling press on the local news and the papers which as a New Forest resident and cyclist I am very annoyed at. As the guy from UK cycling events said on the local news - how many cyclists kill New Forest Ponies and compared to motorists. Please be aware if you are doing the event that the signage may not be there. We have also sent an email to the UK Cycling Events. Have a good ride if you are doing it.

    Yep did it today.

    Anyone doing it tomorrow, load the route into your Garmin and trust that.

    Complete saddos protesting about cycling in the Forest.

    Saw them today, gave me a torrent of verbals when I passed them.

    What exactly are they protesting about? Bringing in the tourist pound? Causing less tailbacks than the typical traffic queue in Lyndhust or the New Forest Show? Littering by throwing Costa cups onto the verge? Seriously, how can they present a coherent argument?

    I went past a bunch of protesters on Rhinefield Drive. I thought they were walkers waiting neatly by the edge (in fact they were being marshalled by a police officer). I gave them a cheery wave and yelled "Thank you" before I realised why they were there. Didn't mean to, but this might have cheesed them off even more. Shame.
