I am looking for info on a bike friendly route please, kensington to portsmouth ferry docks.

    Have you got a navigation enabled GPS? (ie one that lets you follow waypoints?) When I've done longer point to point rides I've found it hard to navigate as all the road signs lead you onto bigger and bigger roads.

    I did Berks to S Wales by finding the most direct route (A4 in this case) and finding minor roads that criss crossed it but went in generally the right direction and plotting a map waypoint at each junction. It's not direct, it's not the fastest but the roads were ideal and I properly enjoyed it. Take a paper map too.
