Basically the Baby Giro has run out of money and asked the team to help out, who have written an open letter saying no.

Can understand the commercial side of sponsors needing to make a return on their investment, but with such a race helping young riders get their names out there seems like a shame.

Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

Hmmm....it sounds complicated and a bit bleak
An economy that's floundering, prize money from last year still not ponied up, a domestic scene that's crumbling...0 -
Bleak indeed.
Reading the report looks like the organisers are trying to drum up some interest & possible sob story factor that it might be lost.
Guess its the way the modern economy is going though as plenty of other sizeable & historic races have been lost in the last year or two. Just think its a shame as it seems to be a good stepping stone for young riders to excel at.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0
