There's either the type you have that needs bending, or else bolts that screw into a thread.0

I generally replace a split pin - they can snap if bent too often, which can be twice.I don't do smileys.

Do you have a tap then to thread the other side? Or do you just screw another bolt through? Id prefer to have a bolt, hate having to get pliers to replace the pads!0

You can just use a screwdriver or something flat, most bits of a multitool will work.
But what's the difference getting a pair of pliers or another tool?I don't do smileys.

I carry Allen keys, I don't always have pliers to hand depending where I am! Never managed to get split pins open with anything else :oops: will try harder next time!0
