Hello,

My mate has a Cube 29" er that came with the Rock Shox XC28 29" fork.

The first fork he got the preload adjuster was stuck fast and nothing we could do could get it to move, so he took the bike back and they swapped it for another they had in stock - preload working.

However the forks simply don't move at all. You can get them to sag a small bit, like 10mm, but that is. It's as if lockout is on from there onwards.

Unfortunately my friend is a bike novice, and just accepted & rode this bike without checking the fork over. The bike is still under warranty however he uses it to commute to work every day so returning the bike is a last resort this time around.

What could be the issue? Too much oil in the dampner? Full of water already?

I am familiar with the insides of my Revelation but no idea about this newer (coil sprung) fork...

Cheers!

Could be one of many issues, as it's under warranty taking it back is the only real solution....

Full of water (not that likely)
    Preload stuck on
    Overfilled damper
    Seized bushes
    etc etc
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    yeah - you're right.

These OEM RS budget forks are terrible.
