Hi all,

I'm working on my commuter bike project: a late 90s Stumpjumper frame with rigid forks, low drop bars, road cranks etc. I had the frame powder-coated which meant removing the mech hanger. Now I come to put it back, the hanger is there but can't locate the attachment screws for the life of me. Does anyone know where I can get hold of another pair?

A bolt shop. Or a bike shop.

It all depends on what bolts you need.

Some are chain ring bolts others are just bolts.

    is it one of these?

  • No, they are (were) much smaller in diameter with hex fittings. I've posted a query on the Specialized forum to see if they can give me the dimensions.

The frame is a HT Stumpjumper M2 from (I think) '95. I realise that if all else fails I can just buy another hanger, but it seems silly to spend £10 or more on a new mech hanger when all I need are a couple of screws which should cost pennies

    Thanks for the replies :)

Just find a local fixings specialist and go get something that fits (thread, length and head form)
