Is it in the tyre or the actual wheel?
Spin the wheel and watch it in relation to the brake blocks to see.Cannondale CAAD 10 Ultegra

just did what you suggested, and its defiantly the tyre, the space between wheel and brake block doesn't change0 -
Slight!?0

V odd.
Try deflating tyre. Make sure it is seated properly, they reinflate.
Or even better, take off and put back on.
Pump tube up slightly while out too maybe.0 -
Twisted inner tube inside?0

Shirley this means a new bike or new tyres at least, haha what ever it is i advise not riding on it further until sorted out it looks awry.0
-
Whoah, that is a pretty big change there! I wouldn't want to ride it until I sorted it. Imagine if you rode around with it like that and in a corner it rolled on itself. Ah the thought.0

Iv had this before, ride to work locked her up looked at back wheel and this massive swealing in one spot. Road it to my LBS and it blew up!! Walked rest of way to shop and he said it was because to many miles on the tyre :? But the rest of tyre was fine! New tyre later never happened again. Very strange!0

+1
Had cuts in tyres that cause bulges and bulges in repaired innertubes that do similar, but what the OP's picture is showing is a severely worn tyre that is getting so thin in some places that the innertube is not longer applying equal pressure all the way round, causing the tyre to become mishapen rather than bulged.0 -
Well - it does look like you can see the tyre threads on the LHS of the picture ...
But I wouldn't have thought the tyre was compromised like that .. it's more likely to be a mis-seated tyre or twisted tube.
I once took a wheel back to the LBS when a tyre looked like it was de laminating - the LBS examined it, removed, checked and refitted the tyre&tube and said not to worry - but learn how to fit a tyre in future! they were very nice about it - but it's something I should've done first ...0 -
the bike is only two weeks old and only has 200miles under its belt, surely thats far to fast for the tyre to wear so fast?0
-
depends if you've been doing skids on it ...0

nope, no skids at all0 -
You could have hit a pothole or similar and damaged the structure of the tyre, happened to me on my new bike. Bloody annoying but get a new tyre, the tube should be sound. I rode mine until it popped just about xxxx myself when it went, sounded like a 22 which in Harlesden is a real possibility.Turned out nice again!0

took it to the bike shop i got it from, and they said it shouldnt have happened so they swapped out both tyres for new ones, least thats a worry of my mind nown0
