Have been trying to help a friend get his first road bike and this is what he bought today......

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-z75-apex-2012/

Did I find a good deal for him?

Full carbon fork
Carbon seat post
Sram Apex 10 speed
BB30
50/34 and 11/32 for the hills

Looks pretty sexy (the wheels are 32 spoke though) Seemed to have his name on it and with that discount I Felt re-sale would be favourable when/if he gets the bug and does not want to keep as winter bike.

Can anyone put the pic straight into the thread please?

He seems to agree that it stood out from the ones I had shown him, but maybe he is just sick of me sending him links lol.

Have you had one VTech? Thought yours was an F4?

I have the ar4 but a mate got the one above and I've ridden it and love it.
    The looks got me first.

Knew there was a 4 in there lol. Am not familiar with the Felts.
Shame it does not have the 16 spoke wheels but for £650 it would be a lot to ask.

Thanks for the ride review VTech, are the lever cables all under the bar tape on Apex or shoot out the side of hoods like Sora? Do you know if you can adjust reach on them?

Moved from Clapham Junction (Bolingbroke Grove) to Fulham last year. Hard to say which I prefer...

No worries re: the pic. Took me a year to work it out. You right click and 'copy image URL' (the one that ends JPG). This one ended JPG then some script with the image size. It was 2000x2000 so I just guessed and thought 1500^2 would be sufficient.

Might be doing Ride100 myself....waiting to confirm!

Good luck with getting in ;-)
Really looking forward to coming back through Kingston on the way to Wimbledon/Putney and on to the mall.
I was in Earlsfield/Magdalen rd, but used to work all over that area so know it really well.

Looks nice, he could swap out parts over time and ride that bike happily for 10 years.
