I've been donated a DMR Trailstar frame. I think its a Mk1, it has vbrake bosses but nowhere to mount a disc caliper at the rear. It has horizontal dropouts - I intend to run it single speed.

Anyone aware of something which will allow me to hook up a disc brake to the back? I know A2Z do some adaptor plate or other, but think it only works with vertical dropouts. It's an old DMR frame so I don't believe it has the Swopout thing either.

Any help appreciated.

  • Just get one welded on rather than faffing with the adaptors which were never very good. JAF bikes are worth giving a shout as Josh builds steel frames

Incidentally, anyone know of anybody around the Edinburgh area who may have experience of this?
